Jane's 3 Words for 2015

A few years ago, I found this three words exercise.  Basically it encourages brevity and depth by choosing three (only three!) words to focus your goals and efforts for the year.  When there are so many dreams and wishes to focus and lead as an Executive Director, I find three words are just the right way to set my intentions for the year.

Three Words of Years Past
2013 - Roots. And. Fierce.
2014 - Strategic. Bigger. Lists.

My Three Words for 2015

1. Engage.  Powerful Voices has incredible fans.  Our fan base is made up of thousands of girls, donors, volunteers, and board/staff alums who have been part of our 20-year history.  I am looking forward to spending time with you this year as we celebrate our anniversary.

2.  Storytelling.  We all know people who tell the best stories.  I want to learn from them.  What is their secret?  My goal in 2015 is to hone my skills to share stories of Powerful Voices' impact with you.

3.  Endgame.  Ever since I read this article, I've been asking myself, "what is our endgame?"  An endgame is the specific role that a nonprofit intends to play in the overall solution to a social problem, once it has proven the effectiveness of its core model or intervention.  It's time for me to start asking other people this question - I can't wait to really listen to their answers.
Those are my three words.  They focus my goals for leading Powerful Voices during our 20th year. What are your three words for 2015?
